Dragonball: Z - viral posters

This one came out of left field.

I was scouring the Internet earlier this morning and came upon an image featuring the Dragonball: Evolution Blu-ray case, and it got me wondering - "Will a sequel will ever be made?"

As a DB product, it was definitely questionable, but when viewed simply as a movie, I found it to be pretty enjoyable. I would welcome a Z sequel. So I began to think of ways that such a film might be initially promoted. Because mystery intrigues me, viral marketing was of course at the forefront of possible options. Let's generate some buzz!

Here we have three consecutive theatre posters. They don't really require full explanation, I'm sure. The first of the set is the most vague: Washed out colour and a counter approaching the meme-tastic "9000." The second is a bit brighter - more saturated to meet DB colour standards - and the counter is about to climb OVER 9000. Lastly, the final viral poster, which teases both "Z" for dramatic effect, and "2011" as the release year.

I believe viral (or otherwise mysterious) marketing is always best achieved when kept simple. The background could easily be changed or altered; I simply used source from an original Dragonball: Evolution movie poster.
